Architect of the Week | HOK

Well, here we go again, its that time of the week where we stop, and respect the work of an architectural genius. This week, our coveted spot goes to not one architect but three architects, Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, otherwise known as HOK.

Baku's Flame Towers on the Right
This trio is made up of George Hellmuth, Gyo Obata and George Kassabaum. They are an American architectural firm and as of 2012, they are the largest US based architectural firm and second largest interior design firm. They have over 1,600 professional staff across as network of 24 offices, active in all architectural specialties. So, pretty impressive corporate statistics but not as impressive as some of their buildings they have in their portfolio. It includes Baku's Flame Towers in Azerbaijan, Dubai's Marina, Apple Inc.'s R+D facility plus many more.
