The Pop-Up City

1/20/2013

Who would have thought that beer crates would be used to create a gigantic temporary pop-up Cathedral in Belgium? Well, they have. I think the pictures below can explain better what I'm on about!

Designed and created by Architectural Firm SHSH, 33,000 empty yellow beer crates were painstakingly fastened together into an intricate design that eventually ended up turning into a massive Cathedral! All those crates would have taken a while to collect that's for sure!

So, as you can see this 'building' is very impressive, even if it is only meant to be a temporary structure, shame really.
