Applied Architecture helped us draft plans and secure permits for a JADU. They were fantastic to work with: super responsive and attentive, provided clear instructions, and did all of the hard work. They did an excellent job of keeping us informed of where we were in the planning process and what the next steps were, without any delay. I could pick up the phone and reach Mike or Dane any day of the week, even though I rarely needed to because they were on top of everything. They know exactly what the city and its departments are looking for and how to get through all stages of planning and development. They even provided us with a list of general contractors that they recommended and provided notes on each one (we ended up choosing one from their list). Having worked with other architecture firms in the past, I can say that the individuals at Applied Architecture are experts and professionals, and they make the process feel seamless. If we need to secure another permit in the future, Applied Architecture is the first place we’ll call. 10/10.

Mike and his team are very diligent and professional. I hired them to design our ADU. Mike took the time to meet with us and listened to our wants and needs, then incorporated them into the design. He educated us on what could be done and why some things we wanted cannot be done. The use of space is perfectly designed. The communication throughout the wntire process was clear and concise. We are almost finished with the construction phase of our project and could not be happier. We definitely would recommend Mike and his team if you are planning a custom home.
