Assembly Architecture + Build

We just wrapped up construction on our brand new house with Ross and his team at Assembly AB. I kinda feel like I just got off of a roller coaster and I mean that in the most positive way! It was a lot of fun, and I want to go again. I absolutely love design and a creative project, so working alongside the Assembly team was really rewarding. It was exhilarating at times, and overall we’re very excited and honored about the house they built us.

From the initial meetings, through the design, architecture, and construction phases, we felt really good about Ross and his team driving the project. We had great communication along the way.

Stephen was our project manager and oversaw the day-to-day. It’s clear that Stephen knows quality and he isn’t afraid to make sure it’s done correctly. This is a second home, and we weren’t able to be there every step of the way. My biggest concern was that we’d show up to the construction site and things would be shoddy, or incorrectly done–not once did that happen. Of course things happen, and it wasn’t always easy, but it’s a really nicely built house that’s energy efficient and well insulated, with lots of quality touches throughout.

It’s clear that Ross knows what he’s doing, and wants to build a quality reputation for his company in WNC. What’s even more impressive, is that he’s able to hold a team of architects, project managers, and subcontractors to that same standard. Thank you Ross, Stephen, and your entire team. -A+P

My partner and I just completed a home and artistic retreat in Black Mountain, NC with Assembly and moved in a couple months ago. I have nothing but great things to say about Ross, Brett, Leslie and their entire team. From the very beginning of the process, they were extremely professional, accommodating, and impeccable with their work. The design process was very smooth and inspiring, they really designed an incredible house that actually was way cooler than we thought we could afford with our budget. One of the things that really makes Ross & the Assembly team stand out is they not only designed amazing plans, but then very thoroughly estimated out what it would take to execute and then completed an on-timeline build while staying in the constraints of our budget. Many architects could design amazing houses, but to design a house and then actualize it within a constrained budget is incredible. The attention to detail along the way, and the consistent accountability they displayed was nothing short of amazing. Any issues during construction that came up were handled promptly, generously, and professionally. All of the subcontractors they enlisted were all impeccable, solid and kind, which is really really hard to find in the construction world. We absolutely love every detail of our home Assembly created for us, and I would recommend in a heartbeat the Assembly team to anyone looking to build a house and do it right.

Alex and I just finished a build with AssemblyAB, and we are so pleased we selected them to design and build our three bedroom home nestled in the woods of Western North Carolina. Ross designed a very well-thought-out home that gave us everything we wanted. It was a pleasure moving through the design phase with he and his associates. Once we started construction, Stephen came onboard as our project manager. We live out of state, and building a home long distance can be challenging. Fortunately, we could rely on Ross, Stephen, and their selected subcontractors to complete impeccable work. Stephen’s approach was to ensure that anyone working on the house was able to produce top-notch work. He is passionate about following state of the art construction standards, and our final product is both solid and energy efficient as a result. My favorite part of our home is the obvious attention to detail everywhere you look and the quality of the finishes. As we move in, I am so proud of what we have achieved with Assembly.
