They designed an ADU to be built over our garage that was both functional and took into consideration the existing style of our home/neighborhood. Mark has a great working relationship with Long Beach Development Services; we readily passed inspections and had our questions answered expeditiously. I prefer local businesses when looking for services or goods. Mark Grisafe, Architect, was a great choice. He has lived locally and his office is just off of Lakewood Blvd., in the Douglas Park area. He was easy to work with on the design. I had specific needs and wants in mind and he fulfilled very well. My home was built in 1947 and I wanted to add about 6 feet on to the front bedroom that had maintained the original features over the years. Mark presented options and I am happy with the bay window option that I selected. With the additional 6 feet, a modest walk-in closet was added as well as a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. I have dreamed of a large porch across the front of my home since I purchased it in 2000. I now have a beautiful porch with sitting space and an entrance to the remodeled guest room. The plans were completed in early 2019 and construction began in August of 2019. Work was completed as we entered the time of the Pandemic. I was thankful to have the beautiful front porch area to meet with friends in a comfortable setting. Thanks, Mark and staff!
Mark is an amazing architect who takes pride in each job, no matter how small it may be. He was the mastermind in transforming my small condo in the East Village by working with my challenging building management and HOA. Mark was able to confirm that I had the space to raise my living room ceiling almost 6 feet to give my place a more spacious feeling. Mark’s creativity was also instrumental in expanding my tiny bathroom by moving the sink and vanity to the corner and converting some bedroom space. I can not say enough about the difference this has made to my home. Mark was patient, thorough and completed the job with integrity, even during the Covid-19 pandemic and barriers in my community. I highly recommend him.
