First African American owned architecture firm in the United States. We had the pleasure of having Mr. Moody speak at Metro Early College’s graduation. If your group needs an inspirational motivating speaker I would recommend hearing his story. They are currently renovating a building for The Ohio State University that will be used as Metro’s new High School. I’m excited to see this project finished. I will update with photos later.
Used their services for a office suite renovation. Approx 1700 sq ft open space to 4 subdivided offices.
I’m a smaller newer developer. I used Moody & Nolan because my normal architect was very busy and I needed plans drawn quickly. I asked for an estimate on hours (which is always possible and perfectly acceptable) – the architect told me it wouldn’t be that difficult and didn’t give me an estimate just made me sign a fee agreement open ended for hours and billing. Based on my previous projects- 2x 1,800 sq ft new build townhomes, 12000 sq ft warehouse renovation, 4000 sq ft office renovation – I figured it wouldn’t be a very large expense.
Not only was the bill almost as much as my larger projects it took them almost 6 weeks from first meeting to an actual submission. My billing was easily 40% more than it should have been and Im still getting trailing bills after the large one for another 2.5 hrs after the fact. In addition, my architect made mistakes on what the city would need and I even had to jump and and submit additional information and a drawing to get it through city review.
Ridiculous. Avoid Moody&Nolan at all costs, plenty of other architects in town. They only care about billing you and do not care about developing relationships.
Generating head turning civic landmarks in Columbus and beyond. Architecture that blends progressive design and natural flow and function in every project.
Grace Energy Services did a great job updating the lights to LEDs
